She Dies to Apprise
She held true
the morbid acceptance of fate
because she knew
of her predestined state.
"My time has come"
she declared,
her fear numbed
with inevitable doom prepared.
Placed in no position
to change the course of destiny,
her only mission
was to state each epiphany.
She spoke each truth,
expressed the visions,
said each sooth
but with lacking precision.
Outsiders could not comprehend
her vague narration of the end.
She brought her own tormented soul through much pain,
in attempt to reveal victory's bane.
She had wailed, "agony-O I am breaking!"
knowing full well what ends the Fates were making.
